LOS ANGELES, Calif., March 2 (AScribe Newswire) -- Zach W. Hall, Ph.D., has been appointed interim president of the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM), the funding agency created as a result of the passage of California's Proposition 71 -- the stem cell initiative -- last November.

Hall, an internationally renowned neuroscientist and scientific administrator, was most recently director of the Zilkha Neurogenetic Institute at the University of Southern California and senior associate dean for academic development at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California.
