Debate on Prisoner Detention at Guantanamo to Be Hosted at Pomona College.

CLAREMONT, Calif., Feb. 3 (AScribe Newswire) -- The Pomona Student Union at Pomona College will present a debate by leading experts on prisoner detention at Guantanamo, on Thursday, Feb. 9, at 8 p.m. The two participants have played pivotal roles in the development and legal standing of the policy of the detention of enemy combatants.
John Yoo served as a deputy assistant attorney general in the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Legal Counsel from 2001 to 2003, where he worked on issues involving foreign affairs, national security and the separation of powers.
