University of Texas at El Paso Named Center of Excellence for Border Security and Immigration; $6 Million Grant to Focus on Long-Term Solutions.

EL PASO, Texas, Feb. 27 (AScribe Newswire) -- The University of Texas at El Paso has been designated a Center of Excellence for Border Security and Immigration by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
The center will receive $6 million over six years in order to bring together expertise and research capabilities from colleges and universities throughout the United States to focus on long-term solutions to border security and immigration challenges. UTEP will partner with the University of Arizona at Tucson in the area of border security and immigration.
