Seiko Epson develops single chip system large scale integration.

Seiko Epson Corporation has developed the S1C38000, a system large scale integration (LSI) that integrates into a single chip all the required functions of embedded systems for mobile information terminals, such as personal digital assistants and multimedia equipment. The S1C38000 features an ARM720T processor core, provided under a technology licensing agreement with ARM and is built in with an EPSON S1D13706-compatible colour LCD controller and other peripherals needed for mobile information terminals.
The ARM720T is a sophisticated 32-bit reduced instruction set computer (RISC) processor with an 8 KB unified cache, memory management unit, and write buffer built around an ARM7TDMI core.
