Seiko Epson develops high frequency SAW oscillators.

Seiko Epson Corporation has developed high-frequency SAW oscillators for high-speed network applications. Currently available in sample quantities, the EG-2102 and the EG-2121 will be available in production volumes beginning in June 2002.

The EG-2102 and EG-2121 SAW oscillators are equipped with what Seiko Epson believes is the world's first high-stability SAW resonator (featuring 50% improved temperature characteristics) and with a newly developed IC in a ceramic package measuring 7 x 5 x 1.4 mm.

The dramatically improved temperature characteristics of the oscillators expand the operating temperature range and allows their use in high-precision products.
