Aichi Steel to release magnetic field canceller. (Electronics).(Brief Article)

New Materials Japan, December, 2002

Aichi Steel Corporation and its subsidiary, Aichi Micro Intelligent Corporation, have jointly developed a three-dimensional Magnet Impedance (MI) sensor-based magnetic field canceller. The canceller, named Palm Gauss, is to be released in November 2002.

A magnetic field canceller, which provides a nonmagnetic field or a minute magnetic field, is used for electron microscopes and in neuromagnetic field diagnosing rooms. Since Aichi Steel succeeded in developing a high-sensitivity magnetic sensor based on the amorphous MI effect last year, developing a minute magnetic field and its industrial applications has become a priority, requiring a compact magnetic field canceller.

Palm Gauss provides a palm-sized nonmagnetic field or minute magnetic field. A...
