A&G Information Services 02-09-2000 THE ASSOCIATION OF RUSSIAN BANKS HAS SENT A LETTER TO ACTING PRESIDENT VLADIMIR PUTIN WITH SUGGESTIONS TO TAKE A NUMBER OF MEASURES FOR STRENGTHENING THE BANKING SYSTEM OF RUSSIA. ST.PETERSBURG, RUSSIA. According to ARB, in the first six months of 1999 banks suffered losses of Rbl 5.7 billion, and together with the losses of 1998 the figure would be Rbl 42 billion.
