A&G Information Services 10-01-2001 MARKETS U.S. DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE DID NOT ESTABLISH THE ANTI-DUMPING DUTY FOR RUSSIAN MAGNESIUM ST.PETERSBURG, RUSSIA, - (A&G News via COMTEX) -- The largest Russian producer of magnesium is Solikamsky magnesium plant (SMZ). In 2000 it produced 18 000 tons of magnesium, which is about 5% of the world's production.

Last year SMZ exported to USA and Canada 5700 tons of magnesium, to Europe-7620 tons and to the Russian market (mainly for "Russian aluminum")-4470 tons of magnesium.
