A&G Information Services 02-07-2005 THE JAPANESE WILL PURIFY ST.-PETERSBURG WATER ST.PETERSBURG, RUSSIA, Feb 07, 2005 (A&G News via COMTEX) -- The State Unitary enterprise "Vodokonal" signed a contract with a Japanese firm "Sumitomo Corporation. The two companies will develop water supply in St.-Petersburg.
The Japanese will work out a project of reconstruction of old facilities for diversion, purifying and delivery of water and construct some new objects. The city, in its turn, will allot half of the money necessary. If everything goes well then by the end of the year there will be a joint Russian-Japanese company, which will control all the work till 2009, when the project should be completed.
