A&G Information Services 02-22-2005 "LUKOIL" WANTS TO SUPPLY GAS TO THE USA TOGETHER WITH CONOCOPHILLIPS ST.PETERSBURG, RUSSIA, Feb 22, 2005 (A&G News via COMTEX) -- The president of "LUKOIL", Vagit Alekperov announced the company's ambitious plans. "LUKOIL" together with its new partner, an American ConocoPhillips, is going to build a plant, producing liquefied natural gas on Yamal Peninsula for export to the USA.
At the beginning of April "LUKOIL" plans to put into operation the first gas field on Yamal and in 10 years the company's gas extraction in this region will amount to 1 trillion cubic feet (28 billion cubic meters) per year.
