A&G Information Services 05-31-2005 "COCA-COLA" IS ON STRIKE ST.PETERSBURG, RUSSIA, May 31, 2005 (A&G News via COMTEX) -- For the first time during the period of the company's work in Russia members of a trade union of St.-Petersburg plant of the "Coca-Cola" company have risen in opposition to administration.
They demand observance of labor regulations and increase in wages. The conflict has lasted for a year and a half since that very moment, when the trade union organization was established at the plant. On May 1, 2005 top-managers increased wages to trade union members by 4% and to all other employees - by 20%.
