A&G Information Services 10-05-2005 TOBACCO COMPANIES EXPAND THEIR PRODUCTION ST.PETERSBURG, RUSSIA, Oct 05, 2005 (A&G News via COMTEX) -- The two biggest tobacco producers in Russia - British American Tobacco and Philip Morris - have announced about their plans to expand their industrial powers.

Thus, till 2009 BAT will invest to modernization of its fabrics $170 million, having increased its production from the present 80 billion cigarettes to 115 billion cigarettes per year. It is planned, that the extra equipment will be set in all three BAT fabrics in Russia - "BAT-Java" in Moscow, "BAT-STF" in Saratov and "BAT-St.Pb" in St. Petersburg. Philip Morris planed to complete modernization of its fabric in Leningrad region "Philip Morris-Izhora" till the end...
