A&G Information Services 01-18-2006 volkswagen ag[(vlkay)] VOLKSWAGEN WILL BUILD UP A FACTORY IN RUSSIA ST.PETERSBURG, RUSSIA, Jan 18, 2006 (A&G News via COMTEX) -- In 2006 German auto concern Volkswagen could begin constructing of an assemblage factory of 250 thousand cars per year power, reported Reuters with the reference to the concern's executive director Bernd Pishetsrider.
He also informed that the import component parts would be used for assemblage and in 5 years of work the factory would begin a full producing. Skoda Octavia will be the first model, made by Russian factory. Bernd Pishetsrider also said that the company intended to increase its part at Russian market to 10% from the present 2-3%.
