Somerset, N.J. -- The slim Silhouette[TM]T5 fluorescent lamps from Philips Lighting Co. combine this technology with T5 design flexibility, high efficacy and high lumen output to promote environmental responsibility and broaden the range of design possibilities for retail, commercial and industrial applications, the company says. Retail environments, which represent the early adopters of this technology, have used high-output T5 lamps to squeeze more light out of fewer, smaller fixtures. In fact, all new Home Depot stores are taking advantage of excellent light distribution and energy savings by substituting Philips' T5 lamps for traditional HID lamps in overhead applications.
