Several awards were bestowed upon the AICPA recently. The National Association of Colleges and Employers awarded the Academic and Career Development Team its 2004 Excellence Award in Educational Programming for its Educational Competency Assessment Web site (www.aicpa.org/worklife).
The ECA site assists accounting educators with integrating into their programs and courses the skills-based competencies needed by entry-level accounting professionals. The video, Work/Life: Striking a Balance, is a four-part review of workplace flexibility, including who benefits from flexibility initiatives, a discussion of the business case and how to implement best practices and innovative ideas.
