Telecommunication companies from Southern Africa met recently in Harare to chart the way forward as Africa moves towards digitalization of the telephone communications network in the region.

Zimbabwe's fixed telephone company, TelOne, said the two-day convention was a culmination of efforts by telecommunication organizations to work collectively in order to complete the circle around Africa with a modern submarine telecommunications network.
