Egypt's TE Data selects Alcatel's broadband access solution

Alcatel announced that it has signed a frame contract with TE Data, the data communications and Internet arm of Telecom Egypt, the incumbent operator in Egypt, to supply its broadband DSL solution.

Alcatel will install and support 50,000 DSL lines over the next year. The Alcatel solution will provide Egyptian end-users with high-speed Internet access, as well as other broadband services.
