Omantel signs memorandums of understanding with Reliance

OMAN
The 70 percent government-owned Omantel signed two memorandums of understating with Reliance Anil-Dhirubhai Ambani Group's subsidiary Flag Telecom. The idea is to make Oman a key interim transition between the Middle East and Africa.
The plan is also to create a high-tech link. Dr. Mohammed bin AIi Al Wohaibi and Flag Telecom CEO Punit Garg signed the documents.
The first will be initiated in September. Around 12 nations are expected to receive Internet services, including the member states of Arab Gulf Cooperation Limited (AGCL). It will offer lease circuit services and ...
