Core Security Technologies has released version 1.1 of its risk assessment product, Core Impact, which streamlines the penetration testing process, according to the developer.
In addition to enhanced reporting and logging functionality, the latest version includes exploit modules for the common desktop environment (CDE) ToolTalk database server vulnerabilities and other important recent vulnerabilities, including the so-called "Chunked Encoding" vulnerabilities that affect the two most widely used web server programs, Apache and Internet Information Server.
Such new Core Impact modules allow customers to better test and understand how the latest vulnerabilities could impact their business.
