Wataniya, Ericsson in network upgrade pact

KUWAIT
Wataniya Telecom has signed an agreement with Ericsson to implement a network-wide upgrade to the company's GSM infrastructure that will support a new level of high-speed value-added services for Wataniya's customers.
The deal will see the majority of Kuwait's leading mobile network operator advanced services infrastructure being upgraded to deliver world-leading high-speed access that will support next-generation video streaming, data access, and services
The network upgrade will build Wataniya's capabilities "up to and beyond Edge," according to Ericsson's Bo Nilsson. The upgrade implementation will take place immediately.
