Boeing Company.(Brief Article)

Micrographics and Hybrid Imaging Systems Newsletter, November, 2000

Boeing Company, the giant Seattle-based aircraft manufacturer, acquired Continental Graphics Corp. Privately-held Continental provides a wide range of customized information and documentation to airlines, including illustrated parts catalogs and maintenance manuals. These include micrographics and hybrid imaging systems.

Continental was a major supplier of such services to Boeing. Acquiring Continental will allow Boeing to sell more repair and parts management data to airline customers. It "fits in with Boeing's strategy of growing the maintenance and aftermarket portion of its business" said airline analyst Peter Jacobs, Ragen MacKenzie Group.
