Pharmacy has welcomed a decision to drop GST charges on selected weight loss products sold before 1 July 2007.

LAST week the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) announced that retail pharmacies would not be required to pay GST on sales of Kicstart, Optifast, Optislim, Tony Ferguson and Success Foods weight loss shakes prior to the start of the current financial year.
