PROJECT OVERVIEW: The CASPIAN PIPELINE CONSORTIUM recently awarded an oil terminal construction contract to a French/Russian joint venture. The partners in the planned undertaking include France-based BOUYGUES OFFSHORE, a subsidiary of the BOUYGUES CONSTRUCTION GROUP, in conjunction with the local STAVROPOLTRUBOPROVODSTROI and KUBANNEFTEGASTROI. According to the terms of the collaborative agreement, BOUYGUES will hold a 30% stake in the venture. Under the terms of the award, the partnership will be responsible for building an export terminal to be sited at Novorrossisk on the Black Sea.
