If you're shopping for a CD-ROM with company financial data, you have two very good choices available from two of the most respected names in the industry. There's Moody's, with its Company Data CD-ROM, and Disclosure, with Us Compact D/SEC product. While you probably can,t go wrong with either, they do differ in a few fairly important ways, and it's worth knowing the key differences so you can make a better purchasing decision.
The chart on page 2 compares features of the two. Both include only publicly-traded firms, though Disclosure adds nonactive firms, and a few non-U.S. firms filing ADRs.
