Court dockets are slowly moving the world of the Web, providing new options for information professionals.

A court docket is created by the clerk of the court, and it contains all the pertinent details about the current case. It is updated with a notation each time a new document, testimony, or piece of evidence is entered. There are several reasons why you may want to locate a federal or state court docket. A common one is to find out about cases underway that are similar to a suit that your firm is involved in. You may want to read the complaint and motions, discover arguments being made by the attorneys, and check on the current status of the case.
