Ossid Corp., Rocky Mount, N.C., a manufacturer of high-speed wrapping and tray-lidding machinery, has rolled out its 300 S Tray Sealer that hermetically seals film to the lip of a standard virgin foam tray, and allows for higher profile package fills of up to one-and-a-half inches above the lip. Intended for poultry and other flesh-packed meats, the device produces an airtight seal for case-ready products and creates a leak-proof lidded tray which eliminates moisture flow at the underside of the package.
Constructed of stainless steel and anodized aluminum, the 300 S also is built to support a wet work environment and processes up to 80 trays a minute through a continuous motion system. It has the capacity to seal a maximum area of 10-inches wide by 15-inches...
