National Provisioner's Meat & Deli Retailer, The, September, 2006

American Foods Group LLC, Alexandria, Minn., is launching Chef Merito--six new Mexican and Spanish meat recipes. Among the varieties are Beef Diesmillo, a thinly sliced boneless chuck steak; Beef Carne Asada, a thinly sliced sirloin tip steak; Beef for Fajita, a skirt steak; and Puerco Adobada Steak, a thinly sliced marinated pork steak. The random-weight products are between 1.25 and 1.50 pounds.

Also available are two types of chorizo: Pork Chorizo Completo and Pork Chorizo Picoso (Spicy). All items are available in five-pound bulk bags with two bags per case for retail and foodservice use.
