Stormont-Vail HealthCare in Topeka, Kansas, a long-time partner with HMN Architects, Inc. in Overland Park, Kansas, had outgrown their surgery department and was in need of an entirely new unit. After working with the hospital and conducting meetings and interviews with the surgery department, the team developed a plan that accommodated both the hospital's and the community's growing needs.

The replacement surgery and central sterile addition includes 18 new spacious operating rooms, 15 of which were entirely built-out and equipped.
