Motorola gets tough in computing

Electronic device giant Motorola has turned its penetrating eye to the off-the-shelf rugged handheld mobile computing market.
It has launched the Windows-based HC700-L, the first in a series, designed to be an all-purpose machine meeting the needs of a range of industries. It features Intel's Xscale processor, a colour touch-screen display, WiFi and Bluetooth capability and operates on Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system.
