ADSL Agreement For Aware and AMD.(Company Business and Marketing)(Brief Article)

Aware and Advanced Micro Devices have entered into an ADSL technology licensing agreement. Aware has licensed standard-compliant G.992.2 G.lite and G.992.1 G.dmt full-rate ADSL technology and software to AMD. Aware will provide interoperable ADSL system designs, software and ASIC cores. AMD's communication products division plans to incorporate the technology into its multiport central office chipset solutions.
Aware's G.lite technology supports the entire feature set of the G.Lite standard. Aware's ADSL technology delivers data transmission speeds of over 10 Mbps downstream and up to 800 Kbps upstream at distances of up to 18,000 feet.
