Katonah, N.Y.- Local and business interests in this New York hamlet have reached an agreement in a trademark dispute with Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia regarding use of the town's name, clearing its use on a Bernhardt furniture line.

Last year, residents learned that Stewart's company wanted to trademark the Katonah name for several consumer goods categories. Martha Stewart Living agreed to drop applications for goods such as hardware, paint, lighting and home textiles, the Katonah Village Improvement Society reported on its Web site.
