High Point- WithIt, a group dedicated to the development of professional women in the home furnishings industry, led about 130 college students and faculty around last month's High Point Market during its semiannual mentoring event.
Exhibitors Four Hands, South Cone and Roberta Schilling Collection co-hosted the group, which hailed from Appalachian State University, the Art Institute of Charlotte, High Point University, North Carolina State University, Randolph Community College and Winthrop University.
The day included a morning of showroom tours led by WithIt members, followed by an organic lunch and a presentation by Withit member Susan Inglis, who is executive director of the Sustainable Furniture Council, a non-profit association...
