The Trouble With DFSS and the Future of Six Sigma

Did you ever notice the implementation of Six Sigma slices through a company like a hot knife through butter, while design for Six Sigma (DFSS) struggles to make progress, like a dull knife into leather? So what exactly is the trouble with DFSSP
It is the classic struggle of preferring to find and fix problems after the fact vs. preventing problems up front. The trouble is with management mindset-the way we think. W. Edwards Deming used to say we know so many things that just aren't so. For example:
