SCOTTISH Mutual is to launch a 10-year commercial property fund next month.

The Guernsey-based plan has been developed with London-based property agent Knights Frank and property manager Westbury, which Scottish Mutual said would lend credence to the fund.

John Gibbons, product development manager for Scottish Mutual, said: "The fund is available as an Isa wrapper for smaller investments while satisfying an income requirement by aiming for 7 per cent income."

The plan will buy properties such as retail warehouses and leisure facilities over the course of the first year, and will sell these before the last year.
