Given the persistence of the star fund manager cult, it makes a refreshing change to come across a manager who few IFAs feel they know to any extent.

So step forward Tom Digenan, the lead manager on the newly-launched UBS US Equity Fund. To be fair, Mr Digenans relative youth, and the fact he has carved out his career path entirely in the US, is sufficient reason for his lack of profile among UK advisers.
