SOFA has revised its mission statement and proposed a business plan under Bob Bullivant's management.

Since taking up the managing director's role, Mr Bullivant has been working on a business plan to revamp the vision and values of the Society of FinanciaAdvisers.

His proposals include a desire to be recognised as the professionabody of choice by financiaservices professionals, consumers, commentators, policymakers and the FSA.

Sofa intends to achieve this by helping to enhance knowledge and skilwith a programme of training support, enforcing standards of conduct for membership and promoting the benefits of high-quality financiaadvice to consumers.
