Citigroup targets the retail market.(Brief Article)

Citigroup's equity derivatives division has confirmed it is launching a structured product for the retail market.

Russell Catley, UK head of retail equity derivatives for Citigroup Global Markets, said the division would launch the Citigroup Equity First Income Plus Plan in the last quarter of this year.

The product, which will be Isable and offered to retail investors through intermediaries and partnerships with other providers, will be 100 per cent capital protected and target a reasonable margin of return above building society accounts over five or six years.

It will invest in the Citigroup Income Plus trading strategy -- a portfolio of 30 of the world's largest stocks.
