Pru broadens pension scheme with 17 funds.(Prudential)

PRUDENTIAL has revamped its Prudential Personal Pension Scheme to offer 17 external and internal fund options.

Last October, the provider started seeking IFA feedback on the pension plan, which was mostly sold through its direct sales force before this was disbanded.

Colin Dilley, head of pensions product development for Prudential, said it had sought IFA feedback on the product after it found increasing numbers of IFAs were dealing with the plans, either because it was part of a clients' overall case or because the IFA had sold the pension.

Although the Personal Pension Scheme was repriced with the introduction of stakeholder, when one annual management fee was put in place, it remained a with profits contract with no other fund options....
