IFA market targeted by Lincoln's whole of life.(Lincoln Financial Group)

Lincoln Financial Group has developed its distribution channels to sell more whole of life policies through IFAs.

The firm has launched its whole of life protection package Financial Foundations on The Exchange for the first time.

In the past the package, which can include life cover, critical illness, permanent disability, elderly care, income protection and waiver of premiums, was sold direct to consumers or through a limited number of IFAs who were aware of its existence.

John Stewart, director of PMI Independent Financial Advisers, said: "Lincoln Financial does not traditionally sell through IFA offices, but goes direct to the consumer. It appears it is now after IFA business."
