High fliers give Intrinsic a lift.

INTRINSIC has announced the addition of two high-profile non-executives to its board.

Paul Manduca, former chief executive of Deutsche Asset Management, and George Mitchell, the recently retired governor of the Bank of Scotland, have announced they are to join the fledgling firm established by Lord Leitch.

The news comes ahead of an official launch in March, where Intrinsic will unveil a range of products.

The multi-tie proposition has accrued AGBP27.5m of financial backing from Friends Provident, HBoS and the South African insurer Sanlam.

In setting up the company, Lord Leitch brought on board former Zurich colleagues Kevin Ronaldson and Wallace Dobbin.
