n Tesco Personal Finance has launched a range of health insurance products, aiming to under-cut providers and simplify the process for the consumer.
However, Bupa has warned consumers of hidden "surprises" in the policies.
Tesco offers incentives, including no medical questions for those under 76 years old and the opportunity to collect a no claims discount of up to 55 per cent over four years, and if the product is bought before 27 March, the first month's premium is free.
There are two levels of cover, Premium and Core. Premium offers in-patient, day patient and out-patient scans cover, as well as Cancer radiotherapy and chemotherapy and AGBP1000 worth of extra out-patient benefits. The Core is the same as Premium but without the AGBP1000...
