Bank of Ireland teams up for a sub-prime expansion.

Bank of Ireland Mortgages is expanding with the launch of a range of products across the sub-prime mortgage sector.

Products will carry the Bank of Ireland Mortgages brand but will be funded by Kensington mortgages. The response is due to the rapid growth within this segment and to strengthen the lender's proposition to intermediaries, it has said.

The bank will be responsible for the sales and marketing of the products and distribute through an intermediary salesforce. Applications from brokers will be submitted through an online platform accessed from its website and processed by Kensington mortgages.
