Jobseekers take poor firms to task.

Financial Adviser, May, 2007

Treating a jobseeker poorly can have a damaging effect on business, according to a survey from Capital Consulting.

It claimed that more than 50 per cent of people who have suffered a bad recruitment experience are likely to avoid buying products and services from the business, while almost a third will go on to tell several others and give people information about the negative event, while another quarter will tell six people.

One out of every 100 will write a blog about their experiences, Capital Consulting said.

Jobseekers' main gripes were no reason given for not being offered a job, lack of feedback following an interview and failure to acknowledge their application.
