Poll finds 57% of savers are splitting up investments.

Most UK savers have split their money into more than one investment or savings product, according to Fairinvestment.co.uk, the independent financial comparison website.

Fairinvestment.co.uk found that following the bailout of HBoS and Royal Bank of Scotland, as well as the recent period of stock market volatility, 57 per cent of Britons with savings have divided them between more than one investment, minimising risk.

The survey found that 25 per cent of savers had split their deposits in two, 13 per cent in three ways, while eight per cent had divided them between four separate products.
