Advice sector has a 'solid base' - SimplyBiz.

The independent financial advice sector already works well and the government and FSA simply need to build on this, according to the chairman of SimplyBiz.

Ken Davy told the audience at the Natural History Museum in London last week for the launch of the New Model Business Academy, that the academy would play a vital part role in the further development of the sector.

He said: "The Association of IFAs published research that demonstrated the public trusted advisers more than any other sector within the financial services industry.

"Another report from the Financial Ombudsman Service, said that IFAs made up just 3 per cent of total complaints in the sector.
