Food.com, which has nearly 16,000 participating restaurants and 1.0 million registered members, has signed a letter of intent to acquire the nation's largest restaurant delivery service, Takeout Taxi Holdings, Inc. The home and business meal takeout and delivery ordering service will also acquire three company-owned franchise locations and 12 additional units. These units will provide coverage for Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Bethesda, MD, Herndon, VA, Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL, Houston, TX, Long Island, NY, New Orleans, LA, San Francisco, CA, Los Angeles, CA, Richmond, VA, Knoxville, TN and Louisville, KY.
