Heinz Has Highest ACSI Score Among Nondurables.(American Customer Satisfaction Index)(Brief Article)

Over the past 12 months, the University of Michigan's American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) dropped 1.2% to 72.0. The non-durables sector scored 80.3, down less than one percent from the previous year, but still almost 12% higher than the overall ACSI for all industries. The largest fall in the non-durables sector was soft-drinks, which declined 4% to 82.

Food processing's score is up one percent from last year. Consolidation within the industry, which in turn has reduced the number of competitors, has not yet had a negative effect on ACSI. In fact, the industry has a higher ACSI score now (82) compared to last year (81) and no company's score has fallen more than one point.
