The law firm of Milberg Weiss Bershad Hynes & Lerach LLP filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of purchasers of Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company Inc. securities.
The complaint alleges that the company violated sections 10(b) and 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and Rule 10b-5, by issuing a series of material mis-representations to the market between Nov. 15, 2001 and May 28, 2002, thereby artificially inflating the price of A & P Securities.
