Soup maker to expand convenience-based products.(Campbell Soup Co.)

Campbell Soup Co. is planning a major expansion of its on-the-go soups, reported The Wall Street Journal (Feb. 18). Next fall, Camden, NJ-based Campbell will add seven new varieties of Soup at Hand, a portable, ready-to-eat line in a microwaveable container. It will also launch portable versions of its Chunky and Select brands in disposable, single-serve, microwaveable bowls, adding to the existing offerings in the traditional can. To support the new products Campbell plans to spend more than $60 million on marketing. Ads for the convenience products will say, "Mm! Mm! Good to Go!"
