Triarc investor is "reshaping" the food industry.

One of the food industry's most-influential players is Nelson Peltz, through his holding company, TRIARC COMPANIES INC., Mr. Peltz owns ARBY'S and in the past two years he has used a separate vehicle, a hedge fund, to amass shares in some of the industry's biggest companies and push for changes. His TRIAN FUND MANAGEMENT LP holds 5.3% of WENDY'S INTERNATIONAL INC. and on Nov. 12 Mr. Peltz submitted an offer to purchase Wendy's, but the proposed price was below what he previously said the chain was worth (between $3.2 and $3.6 billion). The fund owns about 3.5% of CADBURY SCHWEPPES and 4.3% of HEINZ. The fund has also accumulated roughly 3% of KRAFT FOODS INC. and analysts expect Mr. Peltz to make his plan for Kraft public, ahead of a Nov. 14 deadline for Kraft...
